A: Particles

Oil detection can detect small particles in the oil and can also detect early wear and tear on equipment. Oils containing emulsified water, the lubricating oil will reduce the transparency, turbidity, white color or even turn into milk white. Emulsified water is very harmful because they flow freely and pollute the oil in the entire lubrication system. In addition, moisture can destroy the lubricity of the oil. When the emulsified water reaches the pressure-bearing area where the equipment operates, these areas will be poorly lubricated and the friction will aggravate and wear.

When the water and oil completely separated, it becomes free water. The harm of free water is relatively small, but it can also cause problems. First of all, free water may also circulate with the lubricant, causing the oil to emulsify. In addition, the oil in the oil will weaken the demulsification of the lubricant, leading to an increase in foam, consuming additives in the lubricant, shortening the service life of the lubricant, and easily breeding bacteria.
